Make Money From Your Beauty And Hairstyling Tips On The Internet

These days, there’s no better place to get information and engage in business than on the Internet, where tons of content and currency are being shared and traded second by second.  Because of the Internet’s ubiquity, it’s become much easier for people with highly specialized skills to get out there and make money online.

Thus, as an individual working in the beauty and hairstyling industry, you may not be aware that there are many opportunities for you to make additional income on the Internet. All you need is a domain, which can even be your own name (since it allows you to build your reputation within the industry), a blog and your knowledge – and you’re all set to start raking in the spare income.

Curious about how you can get better business just by signing up for your own domain and blog?  Read on!

1.Provide Regular Information Via E-Mail
With all your experience in the beauty industry, you’re sure to have amassed a lot of industry secrets and great advice that your clients will be happy to pay you for.  If you have your own blog set up on your domain, you can use that as a venue to start sharing some treasured beauty tips to others and turn up a profit from it.

You can do this by sending e-mails or online newsletters on a regular basis to people on your mailing list who have opted to subscribe to your e-mail service.  The best way to go about this is to assure them that the content you’ll be posting in your newsletter will be the kind of information they’ll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere.  Share your insider information and beauty tips, such as the top skin care products that beauticians trust, or cheap cosmetics that Hollywood stars actually use.

If it’s more convenient for you, you can sign up for an Autoresponder service, which will automatically send the e-mails on set times that you’ve specified.  It’s a great and efficient way to make money while keeping your readers and subscribers happy and satisfied!

2.Write And Sell E-Books
Aside from e-mails, another way you can sell information is through eBooks. Ebooks are simply electronic documents (such as PDF documents) that have been written in a book format.

The style you’re going to use for an eBook would be totally different from what you use with your newsletters.  Instead of providing small chunks of information about a range of subjects, your eBook will be more effective if it focused in close detail on a particular area of your expertise.  If you’re a beautician or a hairstylist, you can draw up an eBook with a title like “An Expert Guide to the Hottest Make-Up Trends”, or “All You Need to Know to Get Gorgeous Hair”.  Unlike real books, however, eBooks don’t need to have a huge page count.  They can have a range of more or less 20-60 pages, so you don’t have to devote an insane amount of time just putting one together.

Since eBooks are a digital product, this means that you won’t have to deal with most of the costs involved in traditional publishing, such as the expenses for printing, packaging, and circulation.  All you have to do is make your eBook available on your blog, set up a credit card payment system that your readers will have to go through before downloading the book, and you’re good to go.  It’s a proven way to make money blogging, and is also a good method for establishing your reputation as an expert in your field.

3.Sell Products As A Merchant Or An Affiliate
Sooner or later, your readers will be curious about the beauty or hair care products you might be extolling, and will want to know where they could buy these things.  Instead of directing them to the nearest department store, why don’t you carry these items yourself and sell products on the side?

If you think you could still use some extra revenue, then selling products on your blog is a pretty smart move to make.  You can accomplish this by either selling items as a merchant, or by selling them as an affiliate.

If you take on the role of merchant, you’re probably selling products you’ve created yourself, or are acting as a direct source for a certain supply of items.  In this case, you have to ensure that your products are trustworthy and are of a high quality, and that they’re delivered straight to your clients after they’ve made their orders.  You have to set up a merchant account on your blog, though, so that all your clients’ transactions can be made through their credit cards.

If you do not wish to undergo the hassles of handling and delivering the products yourself (best option if you are starting out), you can instead sell these products as an Affiliate. Thus, all you need to do is become an Affiliate for a Merchant who is already selling the products on the Internet. You can then direct your prospective customers to his or her website, where they can pay and arrange for delivery. In return, you get a cut of the profit.

Now that you know the kind of benefits that a domain and your own blog can give you, it’s time to expand your business beyond the beauty salon’s doors!  Go online, broaden the reach of your business, and start making more money than you ever have before.
